Steven Smith first enjoyed the taste of the world’s second-most-consumed beverage as a kid at his grandmother’s house in Portland, Oregon. After high school and Vietnam, he got into natural foods and co-founded Stash, the world’s first specialty tea company. From Stash, he went on to Tazo, which was sold to Starbucks. In 2007, he reached out to his old creative team with the idea of creating another tea company, but this one small and completely transparent based in Portland, Oregon. Two years later in 2009, Steven Smith Teamaker was born in a Northwest Portland blacksmith’s shop. Learn more about Steven Smith Teamaker here.
