This ham is almost perfect. I thinly slice half of it to use in egg and ham breakfast sandwiches for my family, and I usually make a batch of split pea with the other half or do some other ham-centric recipe. The ingredients list is simple, it isn't TERRIBLY salty (could use slightly less salt though), and the texture of the inner ham is really good. The only thing that isn't quite perfect is the outer layer/casing. It's thick. It's tough. It's the type of thing where you try to take a bite of a sandwich and the entire slice of ham comes out of the sandwich because that casing is so tough. I looked at their website to make sure I wasn't supposed to slice it off and they don't mention it. To minimize the toughness issue, slice this as thin as possible when using for sandwiches.
