Walla Walla onions are prized for their sweet and mild flavor when raw, and their deep, sweet, and warm flavor profile when cooked.

Looking for a sweet and creamy onion that's guaranteed to make your taste buds happy? Look no further than Walla Walla Sweets! These yellow beauties are not only a good source of Vitamin C, but they're also sodium-free and contain no cholesterol.  These onions are grown in the Walla Walla Valley in Washington state and are renowned for their sweetness. They're a great addition to any meal, and can be used in salads, soups, and main dishes.  When cooked, their high sugar and water content develop into a deep, sweet, and warm flavor profile.

Walla Walla Sweets are a good source of Vitamin C and are sodium and cholesterol-free. They have a higher water content than most onions, which means they have a shorter shelf life. However, if you store them in a cool, ventilated location, they can last for three to six weeks. 


  • Drop onions, one at a time, into the legs of clean pantyhose, tying a knot between each one, then hang the hose. To use, snip below the lowest knot.
  • Wrap the onions in foil and store them in the refrigerator.
  • Chop the onions and place on a cookie sheet in the freezer. When frozen, remove, and seal in bags or containers in the freezer, and enjoy the sweet taste year-round.
