Finally a real bagel. Here on the West Coast you can only find very soft bready bagels. These are the real deal. It's not New York, but it's close.

These are great bagels. The flavor is great and the texture is firm with a nice chew. I was surprised with how firm they were until I realized they come frozen. A cycle through the toaster and they came out just perfect. It's been a treat since I usually only have bagels when eating out and haven't been doing that much this year. I'd love a whole grain sourdough version.

These are an "old school," more NY style bagel.  They are firmer, with a harder crust on the outside, and they taste of sourdough (due to what they are leavened with which is in the description) in spite of being labeled as "plain flavor".  I think west coast people (myself included) are just more used to soft bread-like bagels.  However these are a great example of another typical bagel type.  Just be aware they taste halfway like sourdough and they will be on the firm side...give your jaw a little more of a workout.  Very tasty and authentic, though.

I will just say that if you are the kind of person that likes to use bagels as perhaps a throwing weapon...these are perfect!  As breakfast...not so much.

I buy a package of the plain bagels every other week or every third week.  While they are not squishy soft, they are traditional boiled and then baked.  I cut them in half, 30 seconds in the micro and spread with cream cheese and have with a coffee.  Don't know why people are saying they are rock hard.  I don't think so.

If you're wanting a "bready" soft bagel this isn't it. We prefer traditional boiled style bagels and these are great. Only complaint is they often sell out before we get them!
