Product reviews for "Grand Central Bakery U Bake Pizza Dough - 14 oz."
A great chewy, bready dough with the perfect amount for a two-person pizza night! I keep my freezer well-stocked with it. I usually split it into two personal pizzas, bake dough and sauce at 450 for 7 minutes, add toppings, and then bake for 7 more. Good for calzones, too.
This dough is excellent! I made a calzone with it and it was crisp and chewy. Best pre-made dough I've ever bought. It was super easy to roll out and I usually have a difficult time rolling dough out. I put it in the fridge for a few hours, then I put it in a bowl with a towel over it in my microwave for about 4 hours. I will definitely purchase again!
This is the best pizza dough I’ve ever bought. It is now on my weekly order.
Has turned weekly pizza night from good to sublime. Love this dough. I roll out the dough, put it on parchment paper, slide that on to a pre-heated baking sheet and bake at 500F. This makes for easy cleanup and a crisper crust.
Label didn’t include full baking instructions
I thawed my dough, pre heated my oven, and made a 12” pizza, but the instructions didn’t guide for how long to bake. It would be great if they included that detail or if Alpenrose posted the baking instructions with this item description. As others have stated, it’s a pretty tight dough, so make sure it is plenty room temp or warm before working with it.
Tasty, perfect for 2-3
Super tasty, ended up making two roughly 10"-12" personal pizzas with the dough. Par baked them on the pizza stone in the oven (at the recommended temp) for a couple minutes first, before putting any toppings on and finishing it up. It's a toothsome (chewy) crust with just enough crunch in thinner spots to appease our preferences. Not a cracker-crust style pizza and I don't think I could get it thin enough to do so, but we tend to like our pizzas a bit on the more chewy side anyway so worked out great for us.
So easy to use
Tastes wonderful and was so easy. It made a nice size pizza for my husband and me and shared the leftovers with our dogs.
Tasty, but tricky
Tastes delicious, and has the perfect amount of thickness. Be warned though, it is extremely difficult to stretch out. Even after sitting for hours thawed with plastic wrap and a tea towel over it. After much frustration, I was able to stretch it out to the size of a small pizza. This dough was fun to try, but I will likely just stick with my homemade recipe.
